Unable to rate an image in Adobe Bridge 2024

I am on Mac Sonoma and Bridge 2024.

Have reset the preferences and purged all local cache files.  

I selected the thumbnail of the image and was able to open the menu under 'Lable' , but it did not respond to my selected rating.  

Grateful for your advice.

    To better investigate the issue, please share the following.

    1. Mac Sonoma version
    2. Please check if the folder has the necessary read/write access where you are facing this issue
    3. Is the issue specific to particular files/formats?
    4. If you have older versions of Bridge (2022, 2023) installed, are you facing the same issue in those versions?
    5. Open Keyboard Shortcut Dialog, type label/rating in the search field, and share the screenshot
               1. Open Bridge 
               2. Go to Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts to open the keyboard shortcuts dialog 

             3. Search for the desired command like Red Label, Yellow Label, 1 Star, etc

    I've got almost the same issue...
    Only difference for me is, that it also changes the preview image XD
    So I rate an Image (mouse of keyboard makes no difference) it gets the star, then turns on the side, gets some weird artifacting going. Then it turns back to the rigth orientation, the rating is gone, but hey it's now heavely oversaturated :))) trying again on the same picture does nothing. I'm trying to rate sony raw files for work a job and this is kosting me a sht ton of time... I also tried rating a random .mov and .mp4 file, wich seemed to work just fine... 
    I'm honestly getting really annoyed with adobe here.  Paying a small fortune to use these programs, but one of them is always broken. And now the only funktion I'm actually using bridge for is not working??? Guess it's just time to change to different options... If anyone knows a good alternative to bridge, please tell! I just need the fast raw previews and rating, thats all.

      Can you folks please tell me if you are trying to rate (or label) a file using the Keyboard or the mouse?

      Just spent over an hour with tech support getting this escalated and referring to this (and similar) threads.

      For me - I can always rate with mouse. With keyboard, it's extremely intermittent - doesn't work about 80% of the time. Most often it works immediately after I've rated with mouse I'll usually be able to change rating with keyboard shortcuts. Tech support guy was unable to help but said they've fully escalated it for investigation. I'm working with video files, not photos. I don't think I've had this issue as much, if at all, with photos. on PC. This happens to me with latest Stable Bridge, and Beta. And previous Stable version.

      IFlegg, check something for me please.  When you are attempting to add ratings to a selected media file with a KBSC and it fails, does your mouse cursor happen to be hovering over the video thumbnail at the time? Does it still fail when you move the mouse cursor off the media thumbnail and try the same KBSC?

      Thank you for your replay.  

      Please find below the answers:

      1. Sonoma 14.1.2

       2. I believe the folder and its files have the read/write access as I am able to open the image into Camera Raw, then Photoshop and save the processed file with its file name.  I do not know whether this means that the file has the write access.

      3. All my images are in the DNG formats.  I am unable to rate any image.

      4. This is my first time rating an image.  I am unable to do so in Bridge 2024 or 2023.
