Unresponsive Bridge

This is really becoming frustrating but Has anyone had issues with Bridge CC 2017 just not working? @

I am trying to work in two different windows. One opens fine. The other does not. I have done the close Bridge/reopen Bridge/clear cache/restart iMac chain and it's still not working. I went through what Adobe support said to do in terms of setting it up. Still nothing.

This is really becoming more and more frustrating. I lost at least six hours yesterday because of this and Bridge freezing up or crashing. It's not just the iMac. It's also happening on my MacBook. And it's been happening more and more, so much more I'm thinking about alternatives to Bridge outside the Adobe "ecosystem."

Does anyone have advice on what they're doing to make Bridge work?

I have the same issue if I navigate within Bridge to a folder that includes any kind of video, it freezes completely and I have to restart. This did not use to be an issue, so I have a lot of folders that include video files. Super frustrating. I have gone through the troubleshooting list they posted here previously, it did not help. (and I am not selecting the video at all or trying to open or play it through bridge, it's just the fact of it being in the folder. I thought the suggestion to lower the file size for thumbnail handling would solve the issue, but no.)
