Question

Unsure why my document type has changed on images?

Hi there,

I have a group of images that have somehow had their document type changed. Each individual image in this folder has a different document type of ascending numbers instead of what it should be which is ‘camera raw image’. The only thing I have changed was ‘batch rename’ & when I went back into that to have back track my steps, i noticed that the file name no longer has .CR2 at the end of it which would identify it as an image from my kind of camera. I am unsure how this has happened, but I really want to know how to get it back to the original document type, because currently i am having problems opening the photo in photoshop from bridge as photoshop does not recognise the file type anymore.

I have tried to contact adobe but theyre busy with other people. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
