V12.0.2 updated yesterday and will not read external HDD. Running iMac Monterey 12.3.1 and files are accessible via Finder.

Any clues?

Go to your System Preferences and select Security and Privacy (found in the top section). Now click on the Privacy setting (last tab). Now click on the lock on the bottom left and provide your Administrator code. Now select the Full Disk Access option and click on the "+" symbol. This will bring up the standard Mac Open window and let you add any application you want or need to have full access. Look for Bridge, select it, it will now appear in that window and make sure it's checked. Next, go to the Files and Folders option and do the same thing as above (although there's nothing to check, just add. Close everything down and see if that makes it all work.

Please let me know

[Note: these images are from an older OS, the process is the same.]

Thanks a lot gary_sc!!

I had a problem with "image proccesor" from Bridge to Photoshop (2021 both on Big Sur). Couldn´t process a selection from Bridge to PS, let´s say, 20 images to convert to a smaller files. PS shows the " "Sorry, I could not process the following files". With your permissions tip, I was able to solve the issue. Two days looking at forums and nothing mentioned like this tips. Thanks again!

Hi Juan,

For reasons that I do not know or understand, SOMETIMES when you update your OS, you need to update what I explained above, and other times you do not. Just be aware of that possibility.

And also, almost all applications on the Mac require this permissions dance. I just got a new Mac Studio and I spent a day updating all of my Permissions. (sheesh!)

Check your security/privacy permissions in System Preferences.
