Question

Using labels and ratings, 1 drive 2 computers, not working

I am using an external drive that has all my photos attached to an iMac with the latest version of Bridge .  I am also accessing that drive using a MacBookPro with the same version of Bridge via the network (attaching to the iMac ). If I use either Mac to add metadata to a photo it will show up on either Mac.  However if I add a label or rating to a photo on one Mac and then view photo from the other Mac the label nor rating will appear.  All the other data that is shown in the columns appear ok, it's just the labels and ratings.  Is this not part of the metadata and stays with the photo or are these 2 things unique to the copy of Bridge?

Thanks

I think I found part of the answer with the "Refresh" option.  Now the same issue but with a folder, can't get the "Refresh" to do anything.  I want to make folders that are in various stages of work and be able to see from the label where I am when using either computer.
