Question

Very slow image display using Bridge 12.0.1 on the new iMac 24" running macOS Monterey

I am using a SD Card adapter into a Thunderbolt port on the new 24" iMac (MonteryOS). The software is Bridge v12.0.1.246. It seems to be reading the SD card very slowly to display the images into the "Get Photos from Camera" funtion. Is anyone else having this issue and/or is there a solution?

Thank you

Hi,

We're sorry about the trouble with Bridge. Please ensure that Bridge has the necessary permissions on your Mac by following the steps suggested below:

1. Go to the System Preferences for your Mac, then Security and Privacy, then select the Privacy tab.

2. Then select Accessibility from the list to the left & check if Bridge is added to the list with a check mark in front of it.

3. If Bridge is not a part of the list, please add it by unlocking the window first using the lock at the bottom left, then clicking the + icon & navigating to the Applications folder.

4. Also, grant permissions to Bridge under Full disk access located in the same list as Accessibility.

5. Once done, restart the Mac & check if it helps.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Nikunj

Thanks for the suggested fix. Making these changes did help a bit, but previewing the images in Bridge still seems to be slow when having a couple of hundred images on the SD card. Defenitely an imprvement, however.
