Weird Bridge Freeze Issue

Hello Adobe Community, 

For years I've had the following problem whe using Adobe Bridge and I'm hoping someone can help me get rid of this issue:

When I doule click on a file (say an inDesign file for example) to open in it's program just fine.  But when I go back to Bridge to try to click another file it's frozen/unresponsive.  If I click outside of the Bridge window (say on the Desktop), then BACK into Bridge to make the window active, it fixes the problem - for that one time.  It happens a lot.  Any thoughts?  I've re-installed Bridge over the years, and have constantly upgraded (including the new update from this week) but the same thing always happens.  I hate having to do an extra click outside the Bridge window to unfreeze it and interact with it again.

Help!  Any thoughts?  Thanks!
