What is best workflow for raw files from camera to bridge?
I've just got an Olympus OM-d M5III and am working with raw for the first time. I output both raw and jpeg.
1. For getting images off the camera, I remove the SD Card and put it in my Windows 10 computer.
2. At this point I can drag the files from the SD Card in the computer to a photostaging folder using Windows Explorer, or I can use the Olympus Workspace software (my current method), or, I think I can use Adobe Bridge to move the files from the sdcard to my photostaging folder. Is there any reason not to just use Windows Explorer for getting the files from the sdcard on the computer to the photostaging folder?
3. Once the files are in the staging folder, I convert the raw files using Adobe DNG Converter.
4. At this point I open the staging folder using Bridge 6, rate them, label them, and mark for post processing.
5. The post processing is on the raw files using Camera Raw. I have not been turning on lens profiling for this step, but think I should be.
To summarize: What input method - Explorer, Workspace or Bridge, and for postprocessing, lens profile on or off?
Thanks for any comments you have.
