When i move file from bridge to desktop they aren't edited

I took photos with my Canon eos 550d (not sure if that matters but just to be safe) and wanted to edit them, but only in bridge/camera raw and not in photoshop. Then I wanted to transfer the pictures to a memory card but when they were put on the desktop they were not edited anymore. I haven't had this problem before since i usually always edit in photoshop as well, does anyone know what the problem is?
