Question

Which Color Setting in Bridge Best for Adobe RGB (1998)

I am using a dual monitor setup with one monitor capable of and calibrated for 99% coverage of Adobe RGB and the other calibrated for sRGB.

I use Photoshop CC along with Bridge Ver.10.0.0.124.  I've set the working space in PS for Adobe RGB (1998).  My question is what Color Setting should be set in Bridge?  Adobe RGB is not an option.

When I set Bridge to "North America General Purpose 2", colors don't match between Bridge and PS.

When I set Bridge to "Monitor Color", then the working space in PS changes to "Monitor RGB - SW240 I_D65_Adobe RGB_L10..." and again the colors don't match between PS and Bridge.  Changing the PS working space back to Adobe RBG (1998) does not make them match.

I would very much like colors to match between Bridge and PS.  What can I do?

Thanks,

Howard

I had a similar problem. The solution I found is to save the color settings in phostoshop as a custom setting, then the custom setting will show up as an option in Bridge.

Actually, the colors of most of my photos match in Bridge and PS.  There are a few that don't.  On one of them I found that I had two curves layers; when I matched the two with a single curve and deleted the two original layers, then Bridge and PS matched.  On another, I had two vibrance layers; when I flattened the layers the two programs matched.  Maybe Bridge can't interpret two of the same type of layer?

But I'm still wondering whether to set the Bridge Color Setting to "Monitor" or "General Purpose".
