Why does opening a file from Bridge now add "-1" to the end of the file name?

I cull my images in Bridge and my workflow used to be 1) open the image from Bridge, 2) adjust in Camera Raw, 3) further edit in Photoshop, 4) Save PSD as the same file name as the .NEF from the camera, 5) save a JPG also with the same file name. 

Now for some reason, after making my adjustments in Camera Raw, when it opens in Photoshop, it adds a "-1" to the file name when it never used to.  Now when I save the PSD, I have to remember to go in and edit the "-1" out of the file name.

How do I shut that off?
