How do I uninstall Camera Raw from Creative Cloud in 2026?

I see solutions for prior versions. I’m trying to uninstall the latest Camera Raw (18.2) because it is supposedly a workaround-fix to allow the prior version of Photoshop to open WEBP images like it did just few days ago.

Every solution I have found suggests to click the 3 dots next to Camera Raw in the Creative Cloud desktop app, but those dots do not appear next to Camera Raw. I also could not find the file within the Adobe CC Suite in Finder. I do not have “Bridge” installed either.

I went through the trouble of completely uninstalling Photoshop to try and remove Camera Raw, but no luck.

Appreciate anyone who can provide factual information with clear steps.

Thanks.

Camera Raw cannot be unistalled as a normal programme since it is a plugin.

It can be manually deleted. In Windows you will find it at

     C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CC\File Formats\Camera Raw.8bi.

I don’t know about Mac systems.

You will no doubt find that Adobe updates will reinstall it!

Don’t uninstall 18.2, update to 18.2.1. That fixes the problem.

Adobe actually fixed the issue with Camera Raw, so latest update fixes the issues I was having with WebP files.

Yes the Camera Raw 18.2.1 update fixes the issue with WebP files auto opening in Camera Raw.

It must be in a similar location.

    Take a look!

Hopefully someone else might chip in.
