P: Distraction Removal: People (CR & LrClassic)

Extremely limited.  Might work out if you gave an option to brush over or adjust the mask but at that point, why not use the patch tool and generative remove?  It's ok.  Not much of a time saver and definately needs work but it does pick up people in the background who are out of focus due to depth of field so it has some promise.  

Used Remove tool "People" in LR Classic. The tool did a good job of removing the cast shadow, but failed on the person. The tool replaced the person with tripod I was trying to eliminate with a very colorful person and a different tripod. 

It works for simple removal of people, but one prominent person was not masked. 

Under 0 circumstances ever does a photographer want one person in the background replaced with another person in the background.  Including when we use the "remove" tool, that came before "people".  Why is it trained to EVER replace with another person?

Not all people are selected, and do not know how to add them to the selection

Removed a person and replaced with another person.  On another occasion there were at least ten people in the image and it didn't recognize any of them.  Still needs a lot of work. 

When you disctract people, why does it put back people sometimes...

It doesn't work as expected. It doesn't recognise all the people. Algorith must be perfected and better trained. There'st still a long way to get there. I'm afraid others are achieving it faster than adobe.
