Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting People

Under the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.

This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Please try it out and let us know what works well, what doesn’t work well, and anything that might improve the experience.

Funciona parcialmente ya que no detecta a todas las personas que claramente son distractoras y no son parte de la fotografía. Además tiene la opción de anular alguna selección de borrado y que se desea mantener esa persona lo que me parece bien , pero no tiene o no encuentro la opción de agregar mas personas a borrar y que la IA no marcó para eliminar.

Still not working. On average I am lucky if it identifies 10% of the people in the image. The weird part is that it does not identify the obvious ones but parts of others.

I have tried this function a number of times and find it useless. Have tried to remove a distracting person in the background of a picture. The person is highlighted by the feature, but when I press to remove it, it is replaced by an AI generated person instead. I don't want anyone else in the background, I don't want anyone at all.

I just tried using camera raw. It failed. it came back as unable to find distracting people.

Does it not work on any photos or just some photos? In the case of the former, it might be your GPU driver issue. See Update your graphics driver to try to update your graphics driver to the latest.

Using the distraction removal for people, the first instance only found about 30% of the people and they were all located on the right side of the image. None of the rest of the people were even identified as possible suspects for removal. Needs a bit of work to improve selection of people in the entire image.
