Announcing a new feature now in Adobe Camera Raw (17.2) – Removal of Distracting People

Under the Remove dialog, under Distraction Removal, we have added an item called “People”.

This feature supports faster and easier detection and removal of distracting people in an image. It is offered as a Tech Preview in the Adobe Camera Raw Plugin-only and is available now. Please try it out and let us know what works well, what doesn’t work well, and anything that might improve the experience.

reptile image with blond head and red shirted person off to the side. it id'd the distraction but as often has happened with removal. instead of just id'ing the backfground that is missing, it decides to add something completely NOT that- this time adding some growth like entity on the back of the reptile. very unsatisfactory.

Here are some suggestions:

- A (+) button in case there is more than 1 person,,,

- A refresh / fine tune option similar to the generative AI remove mode,,,

Häckchen bei der Technologiefunktion war schon gesetzt. Nef Dateien aber die Personen können nicht erkannt werden.

Funktioniert also nicht wirklich. Leider.

Left me with two small artifacts that looked like cows, one red and one blue. The other people were removed just fine. In another more complex removal, it removed the person pretty well, but left a bit of a discoloration that was noticeable with a moderate level of inspection

As you can see with these two images. There is still an amazing amount of inconsistancy in finding people. But! I want to add the even with the 'Better but' one that did a great job identifying people it was very weak in their AI replacement.

i followed the instructions correctly, yet the person I tried to remove was replaced with a different person.
