For a complete overview of camera support in Photoshop and Lightroom, visit the following article:

Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

  1. Make sure your version of Photoshop or Lightroom is updated for the latest camera support.
  2. If you own an older version of Photoshop or Lightroom, Adobe provides backward compatibility for the latest cameras through the FREE Adobe DNG Converter.

Note: ETAs for specific cameras are not available

SONY A7V UPDATE- has this been updated in LRC

They’ve only added support for the Lossless Compressed RAW format so far. The other RAW formats (Uncompressed and Compressed) are still not supported in LRC.

I understand that Adobe hasn’t caught up but how do you have a codec for raw built with the only option to upscale to TiFF??

I have an angry client and 3600 pictures that are absolutely unusable at this time. These programs all work together so start sharing your software updates sooner.

I agree. Don’t understand why I am paying right now for LR and it doesn’t even solve their issues …

I’m so sorry about this! I’m experiencing the same issue 😭 The photos look terrible when converted to TIFF, and editing them is almost impossible. What’s happening? We invested in new, expensive cameras and still can’t get the quality we expected!

I can’t even open the files..

Hi,

I’m experiencing the exact same problem. I’ve already deleted and reinstalled everything from Adobe and tried different computers. At first, I thought the issue was on my end, but then I discovered that a colleague was able to open the images in Sony’s software. However, he also can’t convert them to DNG only to JPEG. The problem is that if I convert them to JPEG, I can no longer properly edit my images.

As a photographer, this is a nightmare. I really hope a solution comes soon because with the latest updates of Lightroom, Photoshop, and Camera Raw, I simply can’t do anything at all.

I hope support can fix this quickly, my clients are waiting for their photos.

The A7V is supported (with limitations) in Lightroom Version 9.1  and Camera Raw 18.1.1

Are you up to date with Lr version?

As users we do not know of camera support releases until they happen.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.3, Photoshop 27.5, ACR 18.3, Lightroom 9.3, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0.3 .

Hi, I’m using the Sony A7V, and Lightroom does not recognize the RAW files yet. I’ve already completed three photoshoots, and I’m unable to open the files in Lightroom, which is very frustrating.

At the moment, I have to convert the files to TIFF, but the image quality and workflow are significantly affected.

Could you please let me know when support for the Sony A7V will be added to Camera Raw / Lightroom? This is very important for my work.

Is support planned for the next update?

Would like to know the same thing- it is horrible. Taking me hours and hours to edit and it doesn’t even look right.
