Yes! The next version of Captivate will be capable of not only standard Virtual Reality (VR) but also contains an incredible new feature that allows e-learning authors and their clients to both wear special headsets capable of linking minds to do something previously impossible; understand the client's totally bizarre requirements.
This new emerging area of science has been dubbed Unrealistic Reality Kinaesthesia or URK for short (which you may recognise as the sound usually made when you first hear what the client wants).
However, as is usual with new Captivate versions, there have been some teething problems with the new technology (dizzyness, blindness, memory loss, etc) and that's why this next Captivate version has taken a little longer than usual for release. Even when it DOES get released, it's probably a good idea to only test the new URK goggles out on clients that you don't mind losing.
To my knowledge there has been no announcement by Adobe about this.
New Captivate versions are typically released every 12 months or so. But that's only a rough guide, not guaranteed. You'll just have to sit tight and wait.
