Captivate 9 Audio Cuts Off

I have published a Captivate 9 project as a SCORM package in HTML5, and I am replaying the program in ScormCloud on the most updated version of Google Chrome. My OS is Windows 7.

The audio cuts off the last 1-2 words of the recordings added to objects (speech bubbles of cartoon characters). When I played the same HTML5 project packaged as a non-SCORM ZIP file from my local desktop, I did not have the same issues.

I need a solution to correct this issue ASAP as the project is for a large company and we are scheduled to launch. Thank you.

This could be any number of things. What is the source of the audio? Are you creating text to speech or are you importing mp3 or wav files into your project?

If it’s text to speech, I usually put a short pause at the beginning and end of the narration to simulate a real human pausing for breath. The Neospeech VTML syntax for a half second pause is <vtml_pause time="500"/>.

If not Text to Speech, Check that your audio isn’t set to fade out in the properties panel.

Hello pbdw1969,

The audio recordings were made directly in CP9 through a microphone. The audio is neither Text-to-Speech, nor is it set to fade out. Thank you for the tips about TTS.

Move the audio clips so that there is a gap before and after the clip.
