Question

Captivate 9 is not importing the audio from my Powerpoint 2016 presentation. Any ideas?

I have completed a Powerpoint 2016 presentation including animations and embedded audio.  When importing it into Captivate 9 all the animations work fine but the audio is non-existent.  It looks like the audio portion was never passed to Captivate 9.

If you just want a PPT converter, I would recommend to use a plug-in application for PPT like Adobe Presenter, iSpring or Articulate. Importing audio with PPT slides has always been a weak point, it is recommended to import the audio files to the Library ui Captivate and insert them on each slide (easy: just drag the clip from the Library on the slide).  Personally I never use the import PPT slides myself, because each slide is converted into a 'movie' slide, where you cannot edit individual objects. Much better to reuse the assets and start from scratch in Captivate. After all an eLearning authoring tool is quite different from a presentation tool, at least that is my idea.
