Our company is a Windows based environment. Our video unit works on Mac OS. 2 separate networks.

Can I create projects in Mac OS Captivate 9, and make a Windows friendly output?

Output is independent of the developimg OS: you publish to SWF or HTML

    (both possible as well).

As Lilybiri mentioned, the Output is independent of the Operating System as you would publish mostly in .SWF or .html. This arrangement is there because your users may have any kind of OS environments (External Users or Internal Users).

And besides, most of the authors would be using the LMS to provide interface to the learners hence there cannot be a restriction of the OS usage.

Not only this: The raw .cptx file can also be used from MAC to Windows or Vice-Versa.
