    Correct answer Lilybiri

Since CP9 I tend to publish separately to HTML and to SWF, because the behavior can be rather different. This can be due to extensive use of advanced/shared actions and learning interactions. It is better to have two functional courses than to try to use the multiscreen.html way.

Event video is included, you had to define a path to that video. Make sure you have a relative path, and include the video in the package after publishing with exactly that same relation as when you created the course. If you use an absolute path to the video on your system, it will never work on another system.

Published to SWF or to HTML? Is the video an event video or a multi-synchronized video? How did you create the MP4? Did you use the Adobe Media Encoder?

I am new to Captivate 9.  I converted a movie clip into a mp4 in Roxio Creator.   I do not know where to find the media encoder in C9.  I am creating on-line training for our intranet with C9 html.  I was able to somehow get the video to play last week...until I found out it was the wrong video (darn).  So I  replaced the video, it now will now play.  In the browser I see the outline of the video on page and the loading bar but it doesn't load.

    Thank you for any assistance...Carol

It is included when you installed Captivate, although it is a old version. It is Adobe Media Encoder CS6. You can open it as any other application. I am on Win10, type in Media Encoder on the Win button and it will show up. IT is possible that the codec used by Roxio Creator is not the one needed for Captivate.

You didn't answer my question about 'how did you insert the video'?
