Question

hotspot html5 cp8 - does it work? Mine is not...

I created a hotspot question in cp8 on a windows machine. In preview mode it works great. In preview in HTML5 browser it does not work - I click the correct place, yet it still says I have answered the question wrong. Any insights?

Thanks!

Still the same after 4 years. No Adobe update has fixed it.

Hotspots in Captivate 8.0.1.242 still do not work correctly in IE 11 - correct answers are graded as false.

Was it fixed in newer releases of Captivate?

Hmmm, I just published to HTML5 and tried it again. I have 2 hotspots.

It works in Chrome and Firefox, but not in IE.  When I preview "HTML5 in browser" it defaults to use IE.

So is IE a known not working thing with HTML5 and hotspots?

I am running IE 11.0.9.... on a windows 8.1 machine.

It is NOT a responsive project.

I'd like to change the blue circle animation that it defaults to, but when I choose a different animation, the animation doesn't work. I'm guessing that's because they are in the swf animation folder and HTML5 does not support SWF objects. The HTML5 tracker does not flag it as an issue though, so I thought it might work. Any other animations I can choose from for HTML5 output?

    Thx.

WWhen it's HTML5 you should only ever say something is NOT working after you test it from a web server.

    Hi Lori,

Is it a responsive content. Do you have multiple hotspots. In case if you are not able to figure out the issue at your end you can share the content with us. Send your content to agnihotr@adobe.com

Also I concur with RajeevAdobe on functioning of Hotspot slides. They are working as expected.

    Let us know your comments.

It does work in HTML 5 output. Please check the quiz slide properties again. Do you have multiple hotspots or just one.

    Regards,

    Rajeev.
