How to add a True/False Question to an existing Slide

I have an elaborate slide which I would like to add a True/False question to.

However, Captivate adds an entire new slide called "True/False Slide"

How can I have a "True/False" added to an existing slide which already has my desired background and other objects present?

Use the Radiobuttons learning interaction, with two radio buttons. That takes care of the change of the button when clicking.  Create a user variable to associate with that interaction. Create a Submit button, and have it trigger a conditional action that checks the answer (which will be stored in that user variable). You can show hidden feedback texts based on that condition.

Question slides use their dedicated master slides, which has a lot of embedded objects and functionality built in.

Do you need a score, to report to a LMS?

You could create a custom T/F using the radiobuttons interaction or another work flow. To add a score you'll need an advanced action. Or you can use other work flows for a simulate T/F: two shapes, functioning as buttons, one for the True, one for the False. You can attach a score to a shape button, only to the correct button.
