How to use open another project interaction in Captivate 12.5 version

I have created a project and I want to add interaction to open another project when the button is clicked but after publishing when I preview it the interaction does not work. I have two buttons in the slide and want to add different projects to each button. Can anyone help me in this regard? Thanks

@sanaq53593439 ,

The [initial] project you are building - is that intended for being launched from an LMS? If so, launching a new project may cause problems with tracking. If the initial project is not being launched from an LMS; or you only plan to launch "resource" type projects using the buttons, how it works depends on where those files reside.

While Captivate does provide an Open Another Project action, I couldn't get it to work - but I suspect it's not intended for web-published files (if it works). If you are publising the secondary projects and uploading them to a webserver, you'll need to know the URL to the launch file of those projects. If you are publishing all three projects; and the secondary projects are in a subfolder or somehow relative to the initial project, you can [probably] use a relative URL to access those secondary projects. In both cases, I'd use the Open URL or file option; and either enter a relative URL (e.g. "../childfolder/index.html"); or a fully-qualified URL to the other projects you want to launch (e.g. "https://webserver/folder/childfolder/index.html").

Thanks for your response, my clients want it to be in one SCORM file that needs to be compatible with SAP LMS. So the only solution I found is to create two different projects and create one man intro project and add a button that links to the other two projects I saw the URL option but I'm not sure how to extract the link of that published project, and if it will work or not actually I'm new to Captivate.

@sanaq53593439 ,

Please see @RodWard's response to this thread: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate-discussions/actions-open-another-project/td-p/9395262. Everything he said is [still] accurate.

You can either create a multi-sco project, which doesn't sound like it applies in your use-case; or you should truely create a single SCORM package (in a single Captivate file and not link out to other files).
