Actions: Open another project

I am new to Captivate, and am attempting to create a course with an intro slide with two short videos, which then opens another project on exit that is somewhat of a jump page.  We want the learners to be able to select a Review (which is a software simulation capture demo), a Lab (which is a software sim training), or just jump to the Quiz if they got what they needed from the opening project video.  I have each project created, but cannot seem to get them to talk with each other in Captivate Prime.  Attached is a pic of the jump page.

Advise or assistance?  Perhaps a template that I can look at to learn??

Thanks!

What you are trying to do is actually going against the design of the SCORM standard which states that each SCO module should be self contained and not directly link to another module or attempt to launch it.  The SCORM standard requires the LMS itself to control the navigation between SCOs.

So your idea of having a 'menu' project that then launches all the other projects might seem quite logical in itself, but it ignores the role of the LMS.  It would work fine if it were not for the fact that the LMS needs to explicitly launch each module from its own navigation links.

There's nothing wrong wiith the concept of having multiple modules in a single course.  But you need to be launching those modules from the LMS, not from within one of the modules.

Thank you @RonWard.  As a newbie and one that has to get up to speed ASAP, I appreciate the response and the help!  Now my next question would be...can I achieve what I am aiming for by having that menu page I attached above as page 1 with the review as pages 2-26 and the Lab be pages 27-50...and taking out the quiz link all together?

What you are describing now is to have all of the content for the Review and Lab sections inside a single CPTX project file.  The links from your menu is then just jumping to specific slides within the same module.  That doesn't present a conflict with the SCORM standard.

If you wanted to, you could still have your Quiz slides at the end of this same module.  That also does not conflict with SCORM.

However, the bigger you make your single course module, the longer it will take to load.  You need to bear that in mind as well.
