Tried to skip a required quiz question in Captivate 8 while doing QA, now it won't let me progress or answer the question

Doing QA on a course that was created in Captivate 8. The quiz questions are marked as required for progressing, but I skipped one accidentally trying to get to the end of the course for QA. Now every time I launch the course it takes me right back to the quiz question, where it says I didn't answer it. It won't let me answer it, or move past it. I've tried logging out, relaunching my browser, clearing cache and cookies. Nothing works.

How did you skip it? That's the first QA issue, right? Don't allow the user to navigate past a required quiz question!

If you're launching this from an LMS, then you need to 'reset' the lesson in the LMS. The CP lesson is probably set to resume and the LMS is telling it where to resume from...

If this is not from an LMS, then the tracking is likely kept in a 'Flash Cookie' on your machine.

    Try going here:

    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

And see if you can delete the cookie for your course.

If not, then either QA on another computer (or maybe under a different login/profile on your current computer)...

...or just tell the developer what problem you found, have that fixed, then try to do the same thing with the new version (change the title of the published piece, i.e. 'v2') and see if you can duplicate the problem you found...

I'm doing this from Taleo. The user isn't supposed to progress without answering the question, but I can't answer the question at all. The user should be prompted to answer it *and be able to answer it* but it doesn't let me answer the question at all to move forward.

I can't QA from another computer so that's not an option.

What do you mean by "the CP lesson is probably set to resume and the LMS is telling it where to resume from"?

In the source Captivate (CP) project, you can set the lesson to 'resume' from where it was last exited.

It seems like that was set...so when you relaunch, the lesson resumes to where you got stuck, and you're stuck so you can't move on, so you close it, so it tells the LMS to resume from that same location on next launch....

    The only options:

    1. have the LMS admin 'reset' the lesson in the LMS, so it starts from the beginning and does not resume. You'll then have a fresh launch (all progress will be lost).

    2. Give up, tell the CP developer the issue and show how you're stuck...have them fix the navigation so that can't happen, reupload to the LMS, reset the lesson, and QA from the beginning.

    3. Very unlikely, but if your LMS admin can get into the 'suspend_data' SCORM field in the LMS, figure out the resume string, and change that...you may be able to have the piece resume in a different location...but I imagine once you get to the quiz question, you'll just be stuck again.
