I am new to Captivate 8 Responsive version and has created a course that having few video files. These videos are in .mp4 version (1024 HD format). When I rendered these video files in design mode - they're playing in Preview mode. However, the video files are not rendering when I check it on mobile devices. Am I doing anything wrong?  The steps I am following to insert the videos are:

1. Select Media > Video

2. Resize the video to adjust the sizes

3. Changing them to AutoPlay

Copies of these videos are created in vr folder when SCORM'ed.Still it is not visible when checking it on Chrome or Native browser of tab or ipad. Please help.

Agreed with Sreekanth; you have to test not only the project but the MP4 itself from a webserver if you experience such issues...ideally the same webserver you're delivering the content from.

Some webservers are not setup properly for media delivery (i.e. 'MIME Types'). If not so properly setup, the media won't get to the desktop...

So check that first

Please upload it to a webserver (or SCORM cloud) and test it.

Thanks for your response Sreekanth.I tried the FTP route also but same issue. Moreover, my client got many such videos which he share in a disc. It is not possible to upload all these files to a web server and test. Even, when I tried embedding a YouTube link (this time by web embedding process) it was not playing.

My first concern is am I following the right steps. If not, then guide me.

Second concern is there any other way to rectify / test apart of webserver.

Regards

Test with one video. Even YouTube link must be tested on a webserver.

I don't see anything wrong with the steps. Apart from webserver, you can test it on the SCORM Cloud. (http://cloud.scorm.com)
