Was going to purchase v8 but now v9 is out - not sure what I should do? Is there any significant benefits? Are costs the same as v8? Website has a mix of v8 reviews on v9 pages.

Also need to run whatever I purchase on my laptop and desktop - do I need to get permission to download on both?

Hi Fremo,

It looks like Adobe raised the prices on the Captivate 9 standalone/perpetual versions by a bit: +$100 for the full, and +$50 for the upgrade.

But new features look good on version 9, so that would be the better choice (so long as you have a 64-bit system)... You should be able to install and run on up to two computers‌, no matter which version or buying option you choose.

If you want to download & install the new product or trial without the Akamai Download Manager, then you can use the Captivate 9 direct links.
