a part of puppet body is fixed to background when moving the puppet around

I have (tried to) rigged this puppet in the same way as June is, who is able to squat by dragging in the handle where the neck is. however, it seems as if a part of the shirt/body is fixed or stuck or something and does not follow the body. The weird thing is that it initially worked, but when I got the limb IK working on the legs (I failed to have a capital L on Leg on the layers in the Illustrator-file hehe), it suddenly got wonky like this 😕😕 This is my first puppet. It has all different profiles except for looking up/down, including different bodies. Also, I am aware that I have some rigging issues regarding the speaking/mouth and eye gaze which I have not yet addressed in case I have to redo alot due to this issue.

I have allready tried to:

restart character, restart illustrator, restart computer.

trouble shoot the rigging with the "issues" button.

remove the "handle fixer" behaviour (although issues said it was not assigned any handles)

Please help!

I tried to attach the puppet.ai file but it did not go well.

Kindest regards,

Beatrice and Daniel

Correct answer k_oshiro

I converted Japanese to English with translation software.

Most of the time, when you drag a puppet, the body bends because the crown mark that makes the puppet independent is often unchecked.

Can you send me a screenshot showing the layer structure in Rig mode?

Thank you

Thank you so much for the reply!

I will insert a picture of both my own puppet, as well as the puppet June which I got from the Okay Samurai website and looked on YouTube tutorials on.

This is how the puppet June is rigged, and I tried to make the "squat" rigging the same by having a higher layer called frontal and tagging the "head group" as head and draggable.

I have plenty of views for my puppet (frontal, left/right profile etc), so the list of the rigging is quite long. It is rigged the same for every view though, and the behaviour works exactly the same for all views in record mode (eg. really bad hahah!).

When dragging in the "head handle" on June, this is what happens (a squat).

this is what happens on my puppet when dragging in the same handle xD
