Accidentally hit history button and deleted all my rigging

So, I recently updated my master puppet file and all of my rigging and triggers were deleted. I just spent a period of time re-rigging everything and accidentally hit a previous version of the character and undid everything. Undo does not bring me back. I'm losing my mind. Can I go back or did I really just delete all of my work?

I figured it out. Checked auto saved versions and got my work back

    Excellent, just saw this post and popped over and you'd already sorted it out. Glad you found the "Auto saved versions" feature. It's a little tucked away, but when you need it, it is a _lifesaver_. 

    For other readers that might happen across this thread: the Character Animator project format keeps complete history of what you've done. Even if you undo to the beginning of the project and then do some minor thing, the other "alternate" future with the changes from before still exists and you can get back to it.
