Question

Adding footsteps sounds to walk cycle?

Hi -

I have my puppet rigged up to walk on and off the scene and I have some foley footsteps sound effects that I'd like to sync up with the footsteps.  It works fine but every single footstep requires it's own layer for the audio files.  I was hoping I could drag the audio files on to one single audio layer but CA doesn't appear to allow that.  These scenes are most likely going to end up in a Premiere Pro project, so I could add the footsteps there instead... seems better than creating a bunch of layers in the CA scene.

Any suggestions?

Premiere or After Effects are definitely the place to do this, depending on what other effects and compositing you'll be doing with your CH scene. Did you know that you can Dynamically Link a CH scene into PR? That way you can lay down your rough timings for the footstep sounds, but still keep your comp active until you're ready to do a final export.
