Am I correct in understanding that Character Animator can now link directly to files in Animate, as well as Photoshop and Illustrator?

Currently there is no direct connection between Animate and CH, although it's a very common user request we hear.

And if so, how do you add dangle origin like you do in Photoshop. If I can source direct for Animate, it will save a hell of a lot of time

Are you talking about fla files? I don't think Character Animator can work with those files yet.
