animating a character using a combination of "character animator" and "after effects"

If I have a character, is it possible to animate its head using "character animator" and its body using "after effects(DUIK)"? Thank you.

I would just animate the head in CH, dynamic link or export that to AE, and do the body separately in DUIK.
