audio not working

I downloaded the trial for adobe character animator so i could save time on lip syncing. When I tried out one of the templates I noticed that the audio wasn't working so i checked the prefrences but all options for both input and output have the message ''not working''. I am aware that my mic insn't recording but the audio output should be working. Does anyone know why this is?

    You might want to check the menu item Edit / Preferences. There is a “Audio Hardware” section. It does not pick up the OS defaults - sometimes you need to change the settings there by hand for your hardware. Good luck!
