I think some have misunderstood your question.  I think you're trying to use Character Animator's assistive features (like editing some properties of audio files) for a task that most would use another (Adobe) product to edit before importing into Character Animator.

What you're trying to do would normally be done in Adobe Audition (which allows professional quality audio editing) or some other audio editing software.
In your case, what you're trying to do is possible in Adobe Audition (or other audio software), I've had to do the same thing before and found the videos very helpful.

I hope that answers your question 😉

Thank you for the clarification and advice! Using Adobe Audition for audio editing is way more effective approach.

Aslo, don't discount the use of a good headset. It can filter out background noises while recording good dialog.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.
