"batch import transcripts for lip sync" setting under "File" menu not available

The setting "File > batch import transcripts for lip sync" is not allowing me to click on it. I can't understand why I am not able to access this setting, and I need it to animate many similar animations in a row. Is there a way that I am able to enable this setting? I am using the PRO version of the app, and haven't found any guide online for this.

It should be enabled if you select one or more audio files in the project panel.

It is a somewhat esoteric command, but what it will do is import a txt or srt file sitting next to the selected audio files (same name, differing only by extension). It's meant for higher volume workflows with lots of audio files to save the tedious task of clicking "Import..." in the properties panel for each one in trade for consistently naming the files so it can find them automatically.

There's some basic information about transcript based lip sync available here which I note more for others that might find the thread later and want the extra background. Also, definitely take note of the bit about how to generate an SRT file since those generally produce better results because they give the lip sync generator shorter bits of text to align with the audio than plain text without timing annotations.

Hopefully that helps!
