Hello there, hope you will be doing great. I have an issue with character rigging for walk. When I rig the character and use arrow keys for walking, the body of the character stretches down weirdly. Please let me know how can I fix it. I am using adobe character animator 2022.

I noticed that the forearms of the character are appearing behind the torso. Try moving them to a layer above the torso for best results.

It seems more like the torso and the head are not correctly moving down as the character bobs up and down during the walk.

Things to check:

  • Does the puppet have a head tag? Did you try adding waist and neck tags? Did you check if the Walk behavior properly sees these tags? In the rig mode, find your Walk behavior and untwirl "Handles" to check this.
  • Check your independent layer's attach style. It looks like your puppet's torso is stuck in space, indicating at least one of the layers' attach style is not properly set to "Free"
