Question

Can I export a Trigger animation from one puppet and apply it to a different puppet?

Just wondering if this is possible - not sure what I need to Google. If I record an animation on one puppet and set it to a Trigger, can I export this animation and import it to a different puppet? Or will i need to record the same animation over and over again for different puppets? They are all rigged similarly.

I have a set of puppets that all need to have the same animation with the same trigger.

Thank you!

If I understand you correctly, you are trying to get multiple puppets to do the same action with a single trigger. Is that correct? While it is possible to copy and paste actions from the timeline from one puppet to another, the trigger for the actions only works on the selected puppet. You would have to record each of those actions in the timeline separately.

I figured, thank you! I tried copy and pasting the takes over to the other puppets but the rigs were not exactly the same so they didn't work - which is what I expected anway.

FYI, triggers created with Motion Library are transferrable to other Motion Library puppets (with optional per-puppet tuning of parameters under Motion Library > Advanced).
