Can't figure out magnet unattach

I've been trying out magnets but I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
I made a magnet on his left hand when it''s "half open" and that works but there are two problems

- If I select any other hand it will eventually latch onto the item

- I can't release the item and it remains attached even if I move the hand out of the screen

I've noticed in the Heather puppet that there is a triggerable replay that allows you to unattach the object but I hae no idea how to make this. The Heather pupppet has the same "problem" keeping the orb in her hand - I just happened to notice the trigger while scrolling through the triggerlist.

I also don't really understand why only my head moves and doesn't pull the body along. For this puppet it's not really a problem but the other ones I have don't have this body movement

Any help would be appreciated.
