Can't open Character Animator, comes up with "Can't write to font directory"

I've been having trouble opening Character Animator on my Windows 10 laptop. I've been trying for hours and hours, using different methods experienced by some After Effects users with no avail. Every time I open my Character Animator 2020, this appears (attached below). I've tried running it as an administrator, uninstalling and downloading previous versions and changing the names of previous files.

Not sure what to do, does anyone have suggestions?
