Also cannot scale.  No action with transform.  When I click on eye, it shows up on the right diagram and it does say warp independent.  I'm totally confused.

For help, please post your question in the forum: Character Animator  (unless it's already been answered there).

Hi! Set up my character. + signs where needed.  Everything grouped, e.g. eye lid, pupil, etc. Camera and sound is on. Red dots on face.  No movement with puppet.  Tried various things and nothing works.  Why and what do I do?

I´ve been working in Animate, and take a lot of time to animate the mouth of my characters. This program looks a good tool for earn time, is it possible to import in Adobe Character Animator my Adobe Animate files?????.

Thanks.

Alessio.

Currently there is no direct link between Animate and CH, but some users have exported Animate creations as PNG sequences or individual parts that they then combined in Photoshop.

Thanks for your response.

which is the difference between adobe animate and character, Im making a cartoon project for chapters of 11 minutes, and this take me a lot of time to make the animation, but in character animator apparently this work take less time.

regards.

I changed the name of my puppet, and now, I'm not able to open the document in Character Animator. Is there a way to fix this?

Hernando... Please post your issue to the main Character Animator forum (https://forums.adobe.com/community/character-animator), not on this Tuturials page. When you post there, please include more details about how you renamed the file, and if there was a specific error message displayed or other visible result. Thanks.

I could not get the fixed anchor points to work from Ps. I did get the anchor point to work within Ch. Any idea on where I went wrong? BTW I really like this feature.

Kevin... Are you using the Pen tool (in Shape mode) to create a single-point shape? Be sure to do so at the same level as the mesh that you want to stay fixed.

hi Jeff, I did use the pen tool in shape mode - i clicked the single point and then named the layer as instructed "fixed....". I placed the point in Ch on right and in Ps on left (following the video) and the Ch anchor worked but the Ps anchor did not. Does the anchor point need to be position at a point where the mesh lines intersect? cheers! thanks for checking on me

I have the same question as Hans.  In the first tutorial video we see where an empty "Head" template is imported into the scene.  Where can we find that?

Are there any plans to implement inverse kinematics into Character Animator? The puppet mesh tool is cool, but IK is potentially more versatile.

We're guiding development based on feedback on this forum, so IK is a possibility. Note that the current mesh deforming scheme is not IK exactly, but does provide some of the benefits of IK, like dragging a hand around moves the rest of body accordingly (along with other benefits, like not needing to define a skeleton).
