Characterizer does not crop heads

Heyho,

I wanted to work with the Characterizer Tool of Character Animator but unfortunately, the tool does not crop out any faces. It doesn't matter whether I use the automatic or manual capture tool. It even fails to recognize the faces of pictures that are only a head (black background is added). When I use the edit mode, the styles don't work since they think, the whole picture was the head.

Do any of you know of this problem and how to solve it? I switched to older versions but nothing fixed my bug.
