Dangle locks my puppet's face

my puppet works as expected -- the face sways when i sway my face -- but as soon as i add a dangle to the hair the face locks up. any ideas/

The screen shot looks reasonable. If you're willing to share the puppet (File > Export > Puppet...) we can diagnose.

Thank you! It says I can't upload a .puppet file...so I decided to save my project as a new name and get rid of all the other stuff in it except the one character and one scene, and somehow when I did that now the dangle works... how strange. I have taken a three-year break on this project so maybe everything is just corrupted/too old... 😞
