Drag The Entire Character as a Whole?

Hi I was trying to drag the character up off the screen (as in blasting off into space)

However I have not been able to figure out how to make the character dragable as a whole.

I put a drag handle in the middle of the character at the +character level - however although the stomach drags the hands and head do not move and only distort.

Where is my error?
