Dynamic linked scene from Character Animator to After Effects blurry when zoom in

I created a scene in Character Animator and subsequently imported it via dynamic link into After Effects.  I had expected to be able to zoom in on the scene in AE and the vector graphics (created in Illustrator) would adjust since it's dynamically linked.  The scene looked nice in After Effects, but once I encoded it the zoomed in scene  is blurry.  Is there a better way to accomplish zooming in on the scene or am I not setting up something properly in the encoding?
