edit original ctrl+E does not respond

Good dem very much please advice. Edit original ctrl + E doesn't work for me when I click on the icon neither photoshop nor the illustrator will open and I can't edit the templates. Can anyone help me? Before that it worked and stopped with the same document &#128542; Thank you very much! Michal.

Edit original works using the operating system binding of file extensions to applications. You can fix the mapping by hand (somehow!! Google search is your friend!), or you can reinstall photoshop/illustrator and it should override whatever other program came in and took over the .psd etc bindings.
