Error in Ch version 23.0x52 when trying to import WAV files

Hello I'm trying to import WAV files that I saved out from Premiere.

I've checked the files and they play back fine in windows, but when I try to import them into Character Animator it just says "Error in Ch version 23.0x52" and says "Unable to open the audio file"

any ideas?
