Hello Chris, welcome to the Animator, and to this forum,

if I get your comment right, this might be a solution:

1. Open Character Animator (ChAn).

2. Select - from the top menu - "create new puppet in Photoshop (or Illustrator, whichever you prefer).

This will open Photoshop for you, and you should see a man with a blue face.

3. Import your artwork into that file.

4. Save as… Name that file to your needs.

5. Replace EVERY LAYER of the "HEAD" group with your artwork accordingly.

- Example: If you have a layer that is called and contains a "left pupil", then go ahead and put your artwork's own left pupil in there. Then delete the old one.

- DON'T rename any of the layers (you CAN do that, but it gives you more work than you need).

- The BODY group: Here it is not as important to mirror the exact layer structure than it is with the head, but you might want to keep it in the beginning.

6. Save that file (into CH Media, ideally), and then import it into ChAn. Should then work.

7. In the puppet panel, (double click the puppet in the timeline or project window), try manipulating the "origin points" of the head and other parts to refine the movement.

8. In the scene panel, manipulate the setting for "head tilt strength", etc., to your needs.

9. Eat an orange.
