This is one of those things that looks good on paper, but becomes unweildy in execution. The short answer is yes, the program does support swapping head/body parts for turns as well as motion tracking for walking. Rigging the puppet to do all of those things becomes complicated as there is ample opportunity to introduce something that breaks the whole thing. Many of the example puppets are rigged for head turns and motion tracking, such as Stardust the Unicorn.
