I've redone the Limb IK several times.  Still can't figure out what's going on ... see video below.

OK. First thing - this is freaking HILARIOUS! Love it. We have the same sense of humor 🙂
Next - I think that is either a pin on the hand or an independence issue related to the that point of the illustration.
