Help Connecting to Face Recognition

Hi all,

I have a puppet that was rigged by a third party and it has several motions that are only available via a keyboard trigger - eg. press X for a smile.  Is there any way to connect them to face recognition and body recognition - I have a thumbs up and a few other arm motions I'd like to use with visual recognition rather than having to go back through and edit to insert them in.  How can I do this?  Thanks so much for your help!

The camera recognizes 3 expressions: Smile, Surprise and Neutral. All other expressions are handled mannually. Without knowing about how your puppet is set up, I can only guess that it might be set up with multiple mouth shapes so that it can express emotions while speaking. If so, it is best to leave them as they are. Currently body tracking only covers the head, arms and legs, not the hands, so you would still need to trigger the various hand gestures mannually. The best process to do that would be to record multiple passes - an initial pass for the speaking and broad gestures and then recording again with all but the parts that you want to edit turned off. Refer to this video for the details. Recording & Editing (Adobe Character Animator Tutorial) (youtube.com)
